"What about a Spousal Program?" - Some people ask if we have a "spousal program" on our international conferences. Frankly, we did not feel it justifiable to charge for a spousal program (most "spousal programs" in conferences cost between $300-$600 or more) when the conference venues/cruiseships we select offer such a similar variety of activities for travelling companions [click here to see some of the activities offered aboard our cruise CME's]. Most of these programs are offered by the cruiseline for no additional charge, some carry a nominal fee, but far less than the cost of most "spousal programs". Some have questioned whether a formal "spousal program" allows for additional spousal expenses to become deductible - for most people participation in programs offering wine tasting, art appreciation, cooking demonstrations, etc., is unlikely to lead to any significant legitimate deductions off of professional income [click here for tax information page]. If you do want assistance in planning activities for yourself or your travelling companions, we and our travel agents are happy to help you, and spouses/travelling companions are always welcome at our group receptions (no charge).
